Happy Independence Day to all on this, the day set aside to celebrate our freedom.
George Orwell called freedom “… the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” So permit me to wax Orwellian about our cherished freedoms, hopeful that some few of the myriad dependents among us might pause between bites of subsidized hamburgers long enough to consider liberties they’ve permitted others to take from them.
